Programs
Newborn Connections
Newborn Connections is a program of mothers helping mothers, dedicated to bringing support, education, and resources to families with newborns. Trained family support workers visit with a family in their home to help provide the support and skills a new mother needs when a new baby enters the family and the household.
Training for this important work includes:
∗ coping with change
∗ newborn care
∗ breastfeeding
∗ infant massage
∗ communication skills
∗ community resources
∗ teen parenting concerns
∗ sibling issues
∗ post partum concerns
∗ cultural diversity
∗ infant development
We need home visitors with foreign language skills to better serve the diverse cultures of the East Bay. If you would like to put your language skills to good use, please call Rose Marie Wallace, at (925) 798-0546 or email her at capcrosemarie@sbcglobal.net.
