Home visiting services for first time parents in Contra Costa Couty.  Services Include information about infant care, feeding, safety and community resources that may be of interest.  Special focus on helping parents to understand child development over the first three years of a child's life through a structured, enjoyable home based curriculum.  Services can be received from birth to age three if needed.

Relative caregiver in Central, East and West Contra Costa are provided with a variety of services.  Case management services include advocacy and guardianship.  Non-case managed services include recreation, respite, support group, educational forums, ILSP, informational /referral, financial assistance, and transportation.  Services are currently provided by EMO Families First in collaboration with West Contra Costa Youth Services Bureau and The Family Stress Center.

STEP Systematic Training for Effective Parenting offers parents a realistic and practical approach to meeting the change of raising children today.  It helps them learn effective and enjoyable ways to relate to children.  STEP can help you become a better parent.  STEP participants work together in small discussions groups.  Parents become actively involved in discussing common concerns and learning specific child- training ideas and skills.

The Kindship Program provides assistance to relative Caregivers (i.e Grandparents, Aunts/Uncles, Older siblings) who are carin foir their grandchildre, nieces, nphews and younger siblings due to their biolcial parents not being able to.  Services include but are not limited to guardianship assistance, advocacy, in-home support, counseling, community referrals, recreation, respite, support group, educational forums, workshops, ILSP information /referral, transportation and some financial assistance.
