The Concord Shelter has reopened! The shelter now has individual sleep stations and the capacity to accept couples and adult-only multi-generational households. The site also has kennels to accommodate pets.The new configurations of Concord Shelter offer increased privacy and physical distancing, greater equity in household types that can be served, and respect for the companionship pets provide to many persons experiencing homelessness. The shelter can be accessed through CORE outreach by calling 211.

Provides emergency adult shelter for single adults. Provides the basic needs of shelter, shower, food and clothing. Service includes case management services assisting resident with linkage to support programs including housing, social and human resource services, employment search and placement, legal services, counseling, and health needs. Some rooms are made available for couples or individuals with special needs. No drop-ins accepted. Must be referred by CORE team.
Call 211 to be transferred to CORE and reach the shelter intake line, or dial 211 and press option 3 to be directed to program automatically.

Emergency Shelter for families at the Marquis House. A 23-bed shelter that houses up to 8 families of all configurations. Also provides linkage to independent housing, benefits acquisition, and other services such as health care for up to 60 days.

The Super Center offers lunch 7 days a week, 11:30 AM-12:45 PM. We offer free clothing on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 10:00 AM. The West County Resource Center offers the following at some locations: showers, laundry, phone, case management, mailing address, job and housing assistance to homeless individuals and families. Offers a thirty-bed emergency family shelter. All of these services are free. Provides substance abuse prevention referral services. Services and program information is provided in English and Spanish. For parenting or family support-related classes, job training, or emergency food or shelter, call the Resource Center.

Winter Nights Family Shelter Inc. is a non-profit that provides temporary shelter to homeless families with minor children in partnerships with interfaith congregations throughout Contra Costa County. The Family Shelter program is located in a series of faith communities for 2 weeks at a time. Winter Nights also operates a Safe Parking Program for individuals living in their cars.
