When parents welcome a new baby into the family they are often in need of support and education regarding parenting, the most important job any of us will ever do. CAPC developed the Baby Bag/New Parent Kit to meet this critical need. The Baby Bag/New Parent Kit provides a wealth of useful tips and resources to both parents and caregivers, including a developmental growth chart, child safety information and CAPC’s Surviving Parenting Resource Directory.

Baby Bag During 2020 – 2021 CAPC distributed over 7,105 English and Spanish version Baby Bags. The free bags were delivered to local hospitals and clinics located throughout Contra Costa County, including:
  • Contra Costa Regional Medical Center
  • John Muir Medical Center
  • Kaiser of Antioch Teen Clinic
  • Kaiser of Richmond
  • Kaiser of San Ramon
  • Richmond Health Clinic
