Medical, Dental, and Public Health Services
Medi-Cal or B.A.C. (Basic Adult Care) can help defer medical costs entirely or partially. Property and income requirements are not as strict as for other welfare programs. For more information, or to apply, check with the Employment and Human Services Department office nearest you.

Free health exams for infants, children, teens and young adults (up to age 21) for those who are eligible. Assures that all children have a medical and dental home. Provides assistance with case coordination and parent education. Referrals made for children for health issues including dental screening, hearing and vision, immunizations, physical examinations, and lab tests. Hours of services are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No cost for those who are eligible. Languages: English and Spanish.
Community Clinic Consortium

Community Clinic Consortium is an alliance of non-profit community health centers united by shared purpose and values. Clinics welcome everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Members of the Consortium include: Lifelong Medical Care, Community Medical Centers, La Clinica De La Raza, and Planned Parenthood. Office hours are from 9:00 AM-5:30 PM. Services are provided in English and Spanish.

Programs are dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of families and children. Those who are eligible for Medi-Cal or WIC have access to programs. To submit a request for services either call the toll-free number or go to the website and complete the referral form.
Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB)

The Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) is a private non-profit corporation under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. RCEB provides case management services, advocacy, client program planning, coordination of generic services, and consultation. RCEB may purchase needed services for clients based on policies established by our Board of Directors. State law, however, requires that alternate sources of funding i.e.: generic services such as medical private insurance, education, etc., be used before expenditure of Regional Center funds. An active client of the Regional Center must participate, at a minimum, in planning meetings to develop or revise an Individual Program Plan (IPP), or an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) for a child under 3 years of age. An IPP identifies services and plans necessary for a client to achieve agreed upon objectives.
Hours of Service: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.
Languages spoken: Various, including, Spanish, ASL, Tagalog, Mandarin, Cantonese, Farsi, Vietnamese.
Cost of services: Fees may be charged when a family places a child under the age of 18 in an out-of-home placement. The fee for that service is required by the State based on a sliding scale determined by the Department of Developmental Services.

Hospice Services

Hospice East Bay’s Bridge program supports children and teens through art, play, talk and peer support. Families may attend for as long as needed. There is a parent/guardian support group offered at the same time as the child/teen support group.

Kaiser Foundation Hospital Hospice – Martinez provides special care for people who are terminally ill. This involves a team-oriented approach that addresses the medical, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Hospice also provides support to the patient’s family or caregiver.
