Our Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents addresses substance abuse and addiction along with any underlying co-occurring mental health concerns. We also focus on developing good social and academic habits and strive to help these young people become more like the person they want to be, without using substances to get there.
Our services include: Individual and Family Therapy, Adventure Therapy, Onsite Education towards High School or GED completion, Peer Recovery Counseling, Substance Abuse Counseling and Psychiatric Nursing.

Community Health for Asian Americans (CHAA), a community based non-profit organization, is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the historically underserved Asian and Pacific Islander communities living in the East Bay Area. Offering services and expertise that are sensitive to language, cultural needs, and the experiences of our clients, CHAA provides behavioral health care to individuals, families and communities with offices in Richmond and Antioch. CHAA programs span behavioral health services, prevention, early intervention and advocacy. CHAA offers community-based services for children, youth and adults through individual, group and family therapy, case management, alcohol and other drug prevention and treatment, consultation and psychological assessment. Collaboration is a key operating principle in our work. Serves West Contra Costa County. Child and Family Therapy Services – includes play therapy as well as “dyadic” therapy (caregiver and child together) for children 0-6 years. Provides information on the mental health field and the various aspects of mental illness. There are support groups throughout the month, throughout the county. The Family-to-Family class is 12 weeks long and covers every aspect of mental illness. There is never a charge for any of these services. It’s a place to turn to when a family has a loved one diagnosed with a severe mental illness.

People Who Care (PWC) Children Association Afterschool Program serves at-risk youth ages 12-21 and families in East Contra Costa County by providing mental health services (i.e. individual and family therapy, groups, case management, etc.) at no cost to families. PWC Clinical Success Program utilizes a Triage Model, consisting of: a Clinical Therapist, Intervention Specialist, and a Peer Counselor. PWC also offers community service, vocational and green jobs training, and social development.

Asian Family Resource Center is a licensed Adult Day Program in Richmond, CA.
