Mediations held in a location convenient to clients. Mediation is appropriate for conflict within families, between parents and children (of any age) and practically conflict or dispute. Offers an opportunity for clients to arrive at a resolution that has been designed by the clients. Mediation can begin the healing of relationships for better communication. Trained volunteer mediators provide a 3-hour meeting time, as well as the opportunity to return to mediation. Mediations are scheduled at the convenience of clients. Cost of services is on a sliding scale, no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
Languages of services: English, Spanish and translators for mediation in other languages.

The Senior Peer Counseling Program offers individual brief counseling to residents of Contra Costa County who are 55 years of age or older. Counseling sessions are confidential and usually take place in the home or a mutually agreed upon meeting place.
Hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Services are provided in English, Spanish and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
Our services are free of charge.
