CAPC developed the Baby Bag/New Parent Kit to meet this critical need. The Baby Bag/New Parent Kit provides a wealth of useful tips and resources to both parents and caregivers, including a developmental growth chart, child safety information and CAPC’s Surviving Parenting Resource Directory.
Baby Bag
During the fiscal year 2023/2024, CAPC distributed a total of 5320 Baby Bags in English to participating hospitals and clinics throughout Contra Costa County and 3535 Baby Bags in Spanish for a total of 8855. A Surviving Parenthood Resource Directory was included in each Baby Bag distributed. In addition to local hospitals and clinics, CAPC developed partnerships with the following agencies:
